Active Exploration
Active
Exploration is psychotherapy to help people, who have been
traumatized by verbal, physical and/or sexual abuse, learn to
take charge of their lives again. It is understandable that
after being hurt by others, people may feel powerless, passive,
and resigned to their situation. Such behavior is called
“learned helplessness” and can be overcome by understanding it
and learning how to be active.
