Adults
Dr. Hunter's
approach to working with adults combines what is called Cognitive
Behavior Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy to deal with conscious
and unconscious issues. She examines the way people talk to
themselves, while awake and asleep, through words, images, dreams,
and fantasies.
The way she and a
patient relate to each other guides understanding of potential
conflicts, desires, and hidden feelings that might be affecting the
patient. She frequently shares these feelings and ask patients
to comment as they work together.
She may
assign homework.
She may suggest a certain book that could clarify how to truly
understand and modify specific beliefs to find happiness.
