Fall and the living is different

Yes it will officially be fall soon, despite the record heat in much of the country.  The leaves are turning (although more slowly).  For some, this is a time of reflection, remembering, and mixed feelings of relief from the heat, as well as  sadness and contemplation.  For myself, I have been grieving the losses of the past few weeks, including Dolly Parton and Gloria Steinem, two role models, in very different ways, from my youth. So I am going to give myself some time to rest, and enjoy the chance to catch my breath, while attending welcome gatherings for a variety of different organizations I enjoy. I hope, if you are lucky, you can do the same.
